Exercise: Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin was charged last year with involuntary manslaughter, aka reckless homicide, for the death of the cinematographer during filming of the movie Rust. Prosecutors dropped the charge but recently said they are likely to present them again to a grand jury in November.
Please do whatever internet research on the facts of the case you would like. Please determine whether you think Baldwin is guilty of reckless homicide using the definition we have been using rather than the more complicated definition in New Mexico (though feel free to take a look at that definition). When you do your application, consider in the alternative if Baldwin had pulled the trigger (to some extent) and if he hadn't, as he claims.
