Exercise: Federal Conspiracy § 371
Federal and state law often have specific conspiracy statutes, such as the federal conspiracy to commit a drug offense noted above, or seditious conspiracy charged against the Jan. 6 defendants.
But state and federal law often include a general conspiracy statute that simply applies to any target crime. The Pancheco case considered Washington's general conspiracy statute, and Shabbani alluded to the general federal conspiracy statute.
