A series of cases before the Supreme Court regarding vaccine requirements. The cases so far this term have dealt with requests for preliminary injunctive relief, meaning the petitioners are asking for the court to order that the vaccine requirements NOT take effect until the case has been heard and there is a ruling on the merits. These requests are on an emergency basis and appear on the Court's "shadow docket" -- meaning there is not much notice.
You will need to keep track of new cases and report on ongoing cases for your presentation.
10.1. Dr. A. v. Hochul, 21a145
SCOTUS denied injunctive relief to several doctors with religious beliefs who did not want the New York vaccine mandate. This is Gorsuch's dissent explaining why he would have granted the injunction, prohibiting enforcement of the mandate until their cert petition could be heard before the court.
