Guille v Swan

"The Wandering Aeronaut"

When engaging in a dangerous activity that "invites help," should the defendant be expected to foresee all potential harm that may result, including harm that is caused indirectly?

The defendant lands an air balloon in the plaintiff's garden and damages $15 worth of vegetables. A crowd of people intent on helping the defendant land and/or satisfying their curiosity break into the plaintiff's property and trample his flowers and vegetables. The plaintiff's total damages amount to $90. Should the defendant be liable for the damage caused by the crowd in addition to the damage he inflicted himself?
