State Attorneys General and Tech Policy

Attorneys general have long been involved in various aspects of tech policy. They have maintained an active presence in both consumer protection and antitrust dealt with in previous Chapters.

In the fall of 2017, the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University launched an "AGTech Forum" to foster collaborative engagement among state attorneys general, technology companies, academics, and other stakeholders about innovation, corporate citizenship, and regulation. The Forum facilitates dialogue and public-private exchange on emerging technologies and issues as to how state law relates to privacy, cybersecurity,AI and algorithms.
