Lopez v. Winchell's Donut House

            In the next two cases, we will consider what counts as an adequate restraint on liberty. The first case asks whether moral pressure can be enough. The second asks whether a plaintiff must be aware of a restraint for it to count. In reading these cases, think of what the law requires—in terms of physical, economic, or social coercion—when it speaks of a restraint on liberty.
