You and Biker Bob are ditching your day jobs to start Best Bikes, Inc., a specialist bike shop for the local community. You begin searching for a storefront to lease when you realize there's no way you and Biker Bob can afford this. You budgeted for employees and a bit of rent, but just stock the store will take tens of thousands of dollars. And no one is going to come to a bike shop that only has two or three bikes on display.
How do you get money? How does any company get money? How do you keep track of and report this money? This lesson will review the different ways companies raise funds and how we account for those funds.
