Resignation letter from Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Hagan Scotten to Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove III

As explained in the ethics complaint against Bondi, in 2024 the DOJ had filed criminal charges against New York Mayor Eric Adams, and then in February 2025, "acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove instructed interim United States attorney Danielle Sassoon, . . . to have [attorney Hagan] Scotten dismiss the charges against Adams without prejudice." (Source: Wikipedia). Scotten subsequently resigned and wrote a letter explaining his resignation. This is Scotten's letter.
