Mavrix Photographs, LLC v. LiveJournal, Inc.

In this case, LiveJournal ran a gossip site (Oh, no they didn't!) (That's the name of it. Oh, no they didn't.). Users were able to upload photos, and a paparazzi company sued, arguing that LiveJournal's volunteer moderators were agents of LiveJournal, making LiveJournal liable for the infringement.
